Now that we’ve had a few months to soak in all the saturated goodness of Pantone’s pick for color of the year, I’m hoping y’all are feeling just as excited as I to see it used in everything from home décor, editorials, street style, and beauty alike.

Even before Pantone announced Radiant Orchid as the hottest hue of 2014, I’ve already been specifying the color in my interiors (you’ll be seeing that later this week on the blog- woohoo!) so believe me when I tell ya that I’m a bonafide EXPERT at forecasting trends in this field. All thanks to my trusty style sensor that scopes out runway looks to bring you the latest and greatest in design and decoration. Our industry does follow fashion after all…

“An enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. It is a captivating purple, one that draws you in with its beguiling charm.” – Pantone

  1. So I feel like this is a color I would definately wear, but not sure I would have it in my home…unless it was a pillow or some other small detail.

  2. I love wearing color! Last
summer my color was violet/lavender 😛 so I think I can find my
way in, in this radiant orchid!

  4. I can totally see myself getting accents of this shade with other pastel type shades for cushions or a lamp cover…maybe nothing too major but I would definitely want a satchel in this color!
