While Eero Saarinen’s mid-century tulip chairs are hardly “trendy” I’ve been seeing an insurgence of them in traditional settings with carved architectural detailing and tons of collected antiques.

 

Something about the contrast between modern and vintage that really just tickles my fancy…

 

Much like how I live, I love a bit of sculptural simplicity mixed with a bit of ornate and over-the-top.

I’m beginning to really see my style evolve while designing our first home. Never thought mid-century design would reign over regency in my book, but I’m slowly becoming a convert y’all. Currently attempting to master the mix so we shall see….Stay tuned!
